EXPANDING CLASSES WITH VIRTUAL VIEWS
Virtual Views allow the MLS Operator to create virtual copies of classes based on actual classes in the MLS system. A Virtual View is a dynamic, virtual class created from fields present in the actual class.
Virtual Views don't really exist, but are created dynamically in order to restrict or broaden what the user can see based on criteria set by the MLS Operator.
Virtual Views allow the MLS Operator to define additional datasets and data resources, allowing multiple levels of permissions such as IDX, Broker Back Office and Virtual Office Websites.
You can grant access to as few or as many fields within a Virtual Views as necessary. There is no limit to the number of Views that can be created, and they appear simply as new property classes within the RETS metadata, leaving the original property classes unmodified.
Virtual Views can have RETS IQ Contact™ Filters placed on top which further restricts data, creating more detailed control and endless variations to available data sets. Allow Brokers to access all fields available through a RESIDENTIAL_IDX Virtual View but restrict Third Party Application Providers to a subset data.
